A Search Engine Optimization & Internet Advertising Firm

Blue Traffic is an online marketing, consulting, and search engine optimization (SEO) company located near Des Moines, IA. (You can meet the leadership team here.)

The Internet can quickly become a black hole for businesses that fail to adequately distinguish their websites from global competitors. Therefore, only an aggressive and well-researched search engine marketing campaign enables businesses to achieve maximum visibility and traffic by improving search engine rankings.

Search engine optimization connects businesses with targeted consumers by filtering out trivial websites in search engine results pages (SERPS). SEO companies work closely with clients to provide search engine marketing campaigns that outmaneuver the competition and places their websites at the top of key SERPS. Since many companies neglect to optimize their websites, a distinct advantage goes to those who pursue earnest search engine optimization.

For businesses interested in attracting clients outside their local markets, search engine optimization is vital for maximizing visibility and traffic while competing in the global economy. Whether your business distributes European furniture or sells luxury sports cars, search engine marketing will elevate your website in the Google and Yahoo! rankings and increase your profits. Blue Traffic is a Des Moines, Iowa Search Engine Marketing Company.

Let me guess. You (or your boss) have decided that your website isn’t getting the attention it deserves. You’ve been out to Google, Yahoo, or Bing and tried numerous searches to discover where your site shows up in search engine results. And, the results haven’t been great…am I right?

Welcome to the new “state of the union” for small business online visibility.

Since 2012, many small companies have fallen victim to various search engine updates which have negatively impacted their natural rankings. And while most have survived in keeping a number one organic position for their own company name, many sites haven’t been so lucky with other top keyword phrases that were once bringing dozens of potential customers to their door each week.

So, what just happened…and maybe more important – what are you supposed to do now? Let me see if I can help.

Whatever it was you searched for today – you just landed on BlueTraffic.org. Blue Traffic is an Iowa search engine optimization (SEO) and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising company located in West Des Moines. If you aren’t familiar with SEO and PPC – I’ll get you up to speed in a moment.

First, let me introduce myself. My name is Jeff Carey and I am originally from northeast Iowa. In 2004, I started a business in Des Moines to help local companies and individuals navigate the confusing depths of internet marketing. Initially my focus was on building paid advertising campaigns using Yahoo Search Marketing and Google Adwords.

At the time, PPC was really a no-brainer for most of the decision makers I met with. Together we’d decide on the ways people were most likely searching for their business, products, and services. Then we’d run a small text ad next to the free search results for each of those target keywords. Typically we paid under a dollar for each person who clicked the ad and landed on their website. We did our best to track the phone calls, emails and form submissions that resulted from the online ads – and in most cases it was easy to track since none of these were happening very often before we met.

Looking back, I quickly went from having no customers to having close to 100. Along with the extra work, I added my first employee and we were off and running. Within a few months we also started doing SEO work for some of these clients, and the results were even more amazing. Rather than spending a few hundred dollars each month on paid visits, our most successful search engine optimization customers were getting free traffic – in some cases more than 1,000 visitors per day.

Optimizing websites for search from 2007-2010 was fairly straight forward and predictable. There were about 20 on page and off page elements that we focused on for each client, and 95% of the time we were able to move them to the first page of Google, Yahoo, MSN (now Bing), Ask, Aol, etc. In many cases, clients who were previously pouring tens of thousands of dollars into Adwords, YSM, and AdCenter were able to scale back or completely stop paying for targeted traffic.

Then in 2010 and 2011, things started to change. Want to hear the rest of the story? Contact us here.
